Heroine Vs Non-Heroine
The celluloid Rear Window, by Alfred Hitchcock, has several characters that are all introduced to the auditory sense through the eyes of a man that is unable to get away his apartment. One of the characters is Lisa freeman, who is this man, Jefferies, girlfriend. Typically, a heroine role is to inspire the hero, get him to act, and that she in herself has no importance. Lisa Freeman does non act as a heroine in the movie, tho she inspires Jeff to act on his crotchet and is still an important character.
In the movie Lisa Freeman moves simultaneously into the film, out of curiosity her ambition to seek out what is casualty across the way inspires Jeff to continue spying. As the scene similarlyk rove about Thorwolds wife being buried underneath the flowers, it was Lisa who desire out to find the truth. If Lisa didnt have the urge to bet out what was in Mr/Ms Thorwolds apartment the mystery could of perchance remained unsolved. Lisas actions and curiosity all support Jeffs spare-time activity in the neighbors.
It is atypical for a heroine to be more in love with the hero. It is obvious that she loves Jeff, more than he loves her because he thinks she is too much of a socialite.
In the film Lisa tries to seduce Jeff, but his unwillingness to stop looking out the window causes Lisa to unhorse to seduce him for attention. Lisa inspires Jeff to act upon his interest, but that she in this moment is real significant. Jeffs actions in ignoring her and her lingerie show that he is not willing to do social functions because of her. He is still very evoke in what is happening across the street.
In conclusion Lisa Freeman does not act as a heroine though, her ambition to prototype out the mystery leads Jeff on and influences him. This even leads her to trouble with remove the hole with Stella and to climb in through the window.
