sr. Mary Bertha
We all have that one(a) mortal whom we serve up to; wishing we will be just comparable them when we get older. We all have that one person who we go steady upon and hold close to our hearts. We all have that one person who youve shared many unforgettable memories with. I have that one person in my conduct. And that one person is my Great aunt; Sr. Mary Bertha. She has been the most influential person in- my life who sets good examples and displays her strong beliefs and morals. Sr. Bertha is equal Plain Jane. She is merely plain and simple. Her everyday wear consists of light brown dresses with the resource of a fun pattern apron, which she ties around her bony waist. She wears step-in hose underneath along with the same lowly disastrous shoes. On Sundays, she dresses in her best habit as a cross of silver traditionally hangs from a black stack around her neck. I remember she always told me that it was important to look presentable on the day of prayer because God would be watching. All day everyday she wears her little black headdress (veil) which c everywheres up her full head of white hair. When I was little she used to joke with me that that was where she kept all of her biggest secrets.
When I stood by her side, I felt like I was towering over her short and flyspeck statue. Her hands were often dry with wooden leg pricks and

scratches that were left from all of her sewing projects. Despite her old and petite statue, Sr. Bertha has the mouth of a youth. She doesnt think in two ways about stating her own thoughts, ideas and opinions as she does in a soma and respectful manner. Her room at the convent is neatly organized, with her stationary luxuriant upon her desk and her bed neatly made every morning.
