Ryne Schleicher 6/20/11 Cornerstone- The Art of Political Freedom Prof. Trietley 2 Pac: An urban Poet of Political Freedom Tupac Amaru Shakur was an artist in every sense of the word. An urban poet of sorts, his songs convey the problems and struggles of the African American community. He considered himself an envoy for the African American community and used the raw, aggressive emotion of practice of medicine in hopes to make a social change. In the 1890 Atlantic Monthly article by Awakening of the Negro slave- moulded-educator booker T. cap claimed that Friction between the races will pass forward in proportion as the black man, by ground of his skill, intelligence, and character, can produce something that the white man motives or prise in the commercial world.
