As an enthusiastic reader, you should be yearning for every stage possible to jump come in and shout at you, Stop what you are doing and investigate me, or quite possibly, Hey, look at how I can rouge this bigger picture for you. Unfortunately, the details will not do that, but you are able to through the smoke and mirrors to recollect the hidden meanings; this is called, reading inductively. First, it is advised to read the story at one time before proposing a query to find out what only the author meant for you to inquire. Following your query you are to look for a host of facts; anything that the author states; such as, setting details, character details, mend details, and so on. Now that the facts have been uncovered, interpretations, or opinions, may be made about said facts. When all of this is said and done, the terminal step is to combine all the facts and interpretations and wrap them up into a single claim about the story. The claim is also called the account or thesis.

As assumed, this process is easier said than done; so I shall provide an example, showing you how to inductively read a bunco story written by Flannery OConnor called, Revelation. Turn to rascal 252 and read through the short story once so that a familiarity with plot is attained. Since you are familiar with the text, you know that look are a reoccurring symbol.
