On December 1, 1955 an African-American women, by the name of Rosa place, was leaving work and boarded a hatful to head home. Once the bus started to get crowded Mrs. Parks was ordered to move to the back of the bus so that a White passenger could sit down instead of her. Mrs. Parks refused to move which caused such a commotion and distraught in the society which proceeded to the boycott of the Montgomery bus company, led by Martin Luther King Jr. The boycott continued for over a division, which resulted in the Supreme Court declaring that the Alabama segregation faithfulness was unconstitutional.

led a mass protest against discriminatory practices in Birmingham, Alabama where the white population was non accepting desegregation. Mr. King was arrested for his part in the protest, but afterwards he was released from jail Mr. King participated in the historic civil rights march on Washington St in August 1963. This is where he delivered his famous I Have a Dream name and address predicting a day when the promise of freedom and equality for all would become a reality in America. The next year in 1964 Mr. King was awarded the Noble Peace Prize for all of his action and participation during the Civil Rights Movement.
