Music In The 1950's

Music         The decade of the fifties gave birth to rock and roll. When Bill Heleys quiver Around The Clock became popular in 1955, the community learned to swing to a whole new sweet of sound. But rock and roll wasnt the only variant of music in the fifties there were blues and kin and many other kinds of music. But rock and roll was the dominant completelyele type of music in the fifties. Rock and roll was natural of Rythem and blues. The early artist, people like dit Presley, Chuck Berry, Jerry downwind Lewis, Buddy Holly and Fats Domino, all had an edge to their music. The thing is though all of the teenagers liked this music but the majority of there parents didnt. So it was a constant battle between teen and parent. Rock and roll was kind of a rebellious music, or at least thats what the parents thought One of the rock artists aspect that rebel with out a cause persona, his name was back breaker Presley. In 1953 he was at a recording studio apartment in Memphis recording some birthday songs for his mom.

While he was there he impressed the studio manager by his unique vocal style. In 1956 he ended up recording the strickle single you all know and have a go at it Heartbreak Hotel. Also in the same year he recorded Hound Dog and Dont Be Cruel. And in 1957 he recorded another hit called All Shook Up.

From 1956 to 1958, Elvis starred in four motion pictures all of which featured his sound tracks, sleep together Me Tender (1956), Jailhouse Rock (1957), Loving You (1957), and King Creole (1958).
